Clanwilliam Accommodation
The Yellow Aloe Collection is home to three different styled entities, each boasting their own unique character and charm – welcoming visitors in search of unique accommodation in the centre of this small yet colourful town.
The family-styled thatched cottage boasts a central living area and fully equipped kitchen, while the loft rooms are located in the central Victorian house. Guests can also enjoy time spent at the historical Longhouse, housing five separate rooms, four of which offer uninterrupted views of the panoramic Cederberg mountains.
Aimed at offering guests a serene escape, each space has been carefully designed to optimise the incredible Cederberg surrounds while keeping within the historical parameters of the existing architecture.
Various bed configurations are available, so each room can accommodate two adults with the option of a baby cot, or additional ¾ bed for a third person or child in certain rooms. Each room features an en-suite bathroom for our guest’s privacy and convenience.
The Longhouse
The traditional Longhouse homestead holds five separate bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom. Four rooms open out onto the garden and rolling lawns, with views of the panoramic Cederberg mountains while the fifth offers privacy and wheel-chair access for anyone in need of a more spacious entry.
We invite our guests who are avid bird watching enthusiasts, to enjoy a small wetland which is teaming with seasonal birdlife and a seclusive wooden deck on which to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee or set up a peaceful work station, under a gorgeous willow tree which is all enveloping filled with a serene tranquility.
As the second oldest building in the town of Clanwilliam, this house offers guests a cool reprieve from the hot summer climate with original features and architectural design dating back to a bygone era.
The Thatch House
A stone’s throw from the anchor property of Yellow Aloe, The Cottage is a family-styled home that can be booked on an exclusive-use and self-catering basis. As a child-friendly space, guests are invited to enjoy three separate bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, as well as the compact suit which features two bedrooms and an adjoining bathroom.
A fully equipped kitchen and private garden area afford guests privacy and exclusivity when enjoying their time away together. Two of these luxury rooms are garden facing, with direct access to the private-swimming pool and landscaped garden. The Cottage sleeps a maximum of eight people, with pets accommodated on request.
Family Rooms (2nd Floor)
Situated in the main house, the three family rooms at Yellow Aloe are primely situated for easy access to the café, pool area and garden areas. Each room sleeps two adults with the option of a third bed on request and boasts and en-suite bathroom for our guests’ convenience.
The café, coffee bar and breakfast room are located downstairs as well as the reception area – should guests require any info on the area and it’s surrounds.
